CR UK & UCL cancer trials centre (CTC) data and sample sharing arrangements with non-commercial research groups
The CTC is committed to supporting safe and appropriate sharing of data and samples (if available) from its non-commercially sponsored trials.
Making a request for access to data or samples from a CTC trial or trials:
Contact should be made via the relevant Trials Group Lead, Director or Deputy Director.
How a request for data and/or samples will be handled by the CTC:
On receipt of a request the recipient will consider the proposal, ensure relevant Chief Investigator/Trial Management Group are
consulted and, if necessary, Trial Steering Committee and/or CTC Senior Management Group.
The following will be reviewed when considering applications for data sharing and sample access:
- Data and sample use is in-keeping with patient consent
- The proposed project has scientific value, with defined objectives and study plan
- Our trials data are appropriate for the intended purpose
- Proper acknowledgement of the CTC and/or trial investigator(s) in all publications that arise from the data sharing (preferably as co-author)
- Compliance with legal and regulatory requirements is maintained
- Confidentiality can be maintained at all times
