Are you a member of the public who would like to improve treatment for the benefit of other patients?
If so, you don’t need to be a healthcare professional or to actually participate in a clinical trial. There are lots of other ways to get involved, some paid, some voluntary.
We have developed strong links with members of the public (PPI) who are interested in working with the unit to further develop our trials.
We have initiated annual tumour-specific meetings with our PPI members to discuss the trial portfolio in some of our groups and have invited PPI representation to
our Trial Management Groups and Trial Steering Committee meetings.
We have listed some organisations below that involve patients and public in clinical research in a variety of ways. It is a great way to be involved with brand new
research and to contribute to making a difference to others.
Please also contact one of the Trial Group Leads at CTC if you would like to hear more about PPI participation,
maybe this is something you may wish to assist with now or in the future.
