The IASLC 20th World Conference on Lung Cancer (WCLC 2019) of the International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer (IASLC) was held this month in the Spanish city of Barcelona.
The SUMMIT team presented a ‘Trial in Progress’ poster titled ‘Cancer Screening Study With or Without Low Dose Lung CT to validate a Multi-cancer Early Detection Blood Test: SUMMIT’. The study has been recruiting since April 2019 and has more than 3000 participants currently enrolled.
SUMMIT has two aims: to spot lung cancer among at-risk Londoners early, when the chance of successful treatment is greatest, and to support the development of a new blood test for the early detection of multiple cancer types, including lung cancer.
More details about the study can be found here.
