Lung Cancer Awareness Month

November marks Lung Cancer Awareness Month, an annual initiative aimed at raising public awareness of the third most common type of cancer in the UK.

More information on lung cancer symptoms and treatment can be found on the Cancer Research UK website.

Historically, lung cancer has been difficult to treat because its symptoms might only develop when the cancer is already at a late stage. The CTC has coordinated several studies trying to address this issue, including SUMMIT, on which more details can be read here.
